Thornhill House Outdoor Staff
Two superb pictures of Thornhill House outdoor staff in the first half of the 20th century.
Pictures by courtesy of Jenny Brooks (nee Durrant), that both show Jenny's uncle, well-known local character Jack Fezzard, at each end of his long career working at Thornhill.
We're not sure of actual dates, but think there are about 30 years between the photos.
The large group pic is around 1920, where Jack is second from left. The later pic, where Jack is on the right, is thought to date from the late 1940s. Jack's companion in this shot is another local resident, Walt Senior.
Wonder if Jack kept the same cap all those years !
