​Welcome to Stalbridge Archive

Stalbridge is the smallest town in North Dorset. There was a settlement near Stalbridge in Roman times. The town was home to scientist Robert Boyle, writer Douglas Adams who wrote The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and artist Sir James Thornhill lived just south of the town.
